Visiting the dentist’s office can be an intimidating experience, especially if you’re not entirely sure what to expect. Below, our team has compiled a list of FAQs that we hear on a regular basis from prospective patients and their answers in one convenient location. We are also always available to answer your questions over the phone, so don’t hesitate to contact us if you can’t find the information you’re looking for.
How often should I be going to the dentist?
Two times a year (or once per every six months) is our team’s regular recommendation for patients of all ages. If there are extenuating circumstances that need more diligent attention, like an oversensitivity to tooth decay or the presence of moderate to advanced gum disease, scheduling checkups and cleanings every three to four months would be ideal. Our team can help you determine the frequency that’s right for you during an initial appointment.
Do you see families?
Yes! We enjoy helping the whole family smile with confidence, and our extensive variety of services features options that are suited for every age range, including young children.
I’m missing a tooth. What are my options for replacing it?
We consider dental implants the best solution to tooth loss available today due to their comprehensive structure. Because they rebuild the tooth’s natural root first, the patient’s continuing oral health will be better-supported, and the final result will be virtually seamless in both look and feel.
Of course, we understand that implants may not be the right fit for every patient struggling with tooth loss. Dental bridges and dentures are available as worthwhile alternatives that can also provide your smile with reliable, lifelike coverage. Dr. Cure and Dr. Smith can review these options with you in greater detail during an initial consultation.
I want a straighter smile, but I don’t want to wear metal braces. Is there another option?
There absolutely is! Here in Greeley, our office offers not one, but two different orthodontic options that are much more aesthetically pleasing than metal brackets and wires. Invisalign® treatment and ClearCorrect improve dental alignment through the use of clear, custom-made aligners that are worn continuously by the patient. They’re very subtle in appearance and easily removable as well when needed, which means you can improve your smile while maintaining your natural appearance.
My gums are bleeding when I brush and floss. What’s wrong?
Bleeding gums should never be brushed aside, as this symptom likely points towards the presence of gum disease. While gum disease will seem relatively mild and harmless at first, advanced cases can threaten the wellbeing of your healthy jawbone and teeth. If you are experiencing bleeding on a regular basis, we strongly recommend that you schedule a checkup with Dr. Cure and Dr. Smith.
Do you take dental insurance?
Yes! Our practice is always happy to work with patients who have insurance, and we will file claims for virtually any major plan. We are also in-network providers for Delta Dental Premier and Anthem. To learn more, please visit our new patients page.
I don’t have dental insurance. Are there other payment options?
Our practice accepts major credit/debit cards, cash, and checks.
